We created "Images of Worcestershire" fourteen years ago having been keen photographers for many years. We are both active members of local camera clubs, David being Chairman of one.
I achieved my Associateship of the Royal Photographic Society in 2008 with a panel of fifteen macro flower prints and David achieved his Licentiateship in 2009 with a selection of prints. A Fellowship is the next dream, maybe one day....!
We both progressed from Nikon film cameras to Nikon digital cameras, both full frame and cropped sensor, and have a varied selection of lenses, filters, tripods etc. We often get asked "you must have a good camera" and we remind people that the camera is only the tool for the job and that photographs are made by good planning, ensuring the weather conditions and lighting are right at the point of taking and appropriate settings chosen, along with good technique and appropriate composition. All photographs are taken in "Raw" format and post processed using Adobe Photoshop CC to further enhance the image, similar to working a negative film in the darkroom. To ensure we have complete control over the quality of our prints, we print all our photographs using Epson professional A2 printers and paper along with Epson archival quality inks.
All our images are available for sale via our website.
Commissions include magazine work, a selection of framed prints chosen by a local Worcester company to grace the walls of their board room, a selection of images for use by a national house builder and a contract for the supply of images to a local hospital where our canvasses adorn each patient recovery room. We also supply The Pershore Times with their cover photograph each month. We have had a number of images featured in local calendars and diaries and have produced our own "Pershore and Bredon Hill" calendar for the last five years. The 2020 calendar has now sold out.
Why not have a look at Jayne's separate website http://www.jaynewinterphotography.co.uk
featuring her monochrome and fine art photography. All these photographs are available for sale, many being offered as numbered limited editions.
